I have a 72 mgb, stock except for an electric fan that I want to add a sound system to. will the alternator be able to handle the current need? Will I need to compare output to system needs; and since i'm awful at electrical, can I get some pointers on procedure?

try www.mgbexperience.com i foumd this site to be very helpful. also, www.onefastmgb.com is a fella who did an alternator conversion from the original anemic 45amp to a delco 96amp. i did the conversion and it works well for me
