TR6 Alternate Door Jam Light Switch

Well, I give up. I have looked everywhere for a replacement 1972 door jam courtesy light switch. I have heard the little spring loaded switch was used in the MGB also but can't confirm it. Has anyone ever found an after- market switch that can be adapted for the Triumph TR6? This isn't a life or death item, but I like to keep everything working like it should.

The MGB part is 131-611 (item 26):

The Jaguar p/n is possibly C.32567 but perhaps NLA.

This shows how the Jaguar part looks (p/n C9653 in this illustration):

Note - I do not know what the TR6 switch looks like so cannot say if either of these match.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like PN C32567 is the same TR6 part I am looking for. I'll check out the Jag suppliers. Its funny that a lot of these British small parts were used on different cars. Good info.

Welsh seems to have the C1693 (which seems to be an earlier part) but it has a bolt-like hex head instead of a domed button (if that makes sense).

C29249 also seems to be a promising part number. Here's (a not too great) one on eBay UK:

Does that look like the style you need? It might actually clean up okay as I do not think it is a plated part. At least the exchange rate to the pound is helping.

I got replacement ones from TRF several years ago for my 73 TR6. Quick look suggests it might be part AAU1908A.

Cheers, Mike
