That was very common when I was in college in the 1960's - anything to save beer money.

Had a classmate that had a preference for Kennel Ration. It finally killed him.


No, it didn't poison him.


But, one day he was crossing the street in busy traffic.













He stopped to lick his private parts and got hit by a truck.

Too bad, really!

When I was a kid, I used to like mustard and sugar sandwiches. I can't imagine why!

Even now I find cinamon dog biscuits go great with coffee. Throw back to the old college days. Still can't get used to the darn flea collar tho, chafes a bit you know.
 
In my 20's I came home one night well in my cups, as they say. Decided I wanted some corned beef hash. Opened a can, fried it up and ate it. Went to bed feeling well satisfied. Woke the next morning to discover an open can of KenLRation on the counter. Thought nothing of it and went off to work. About lunch time it dawned on me what the dog food was doing on the counter. Spoiled my appetite for the rest of the day.
