Almost Didn't Feel the Wind....

I listed my '68 Ford F250 on the local craigslist.
Almost immediate response.First person to look at it bought
it.I got what I had into it.I'm still in disbelief.
Now I'm looking at the neighbor's rig - I'll let you
know if I get it - another cool tow rig.
I'm always amazed when I put something up for sale,&
the buyer wants it "right now".
I'm sure that I'll have regrets, but it won't sit out-
side for another wet Winter.

congrats!

Wait....you didn't tell the potential buyer you had to move to Canada because of a death in the family and that they should send you the money first and you'd ship them the truck?

Glad to hear it worked out!

Wow! So what's left in the collection, Doug? Use the cash to get one of THOSE up to snuff.

...or make a generous contribution to th' Entropy Elan Frame Foundation! :jester:

Remember, Doug, that the cash in hand goes towards *current* projects, not new ones.

A good item at a fair price will sell. Plain and simple. I've had good luck with my last few sales -- set a reasonable price on a clean car or bike and it'll go.

Glad it went quickly and easily.

Makes ya wonder if you should have asked for more money. There is a difference tho between being for sale and actually selling something. When i sold my 76 triumph i didnt ask enough, but it did turn to cold hard cash pretty quickly- in fact the gent who bought it drove up from Florida so fast he beat the deposit that he had mailed. Some times that is what ya have to do.

Congrats on the quick sale.

I've got one possible purchase coming up (witing to hear -
from the seller).Something that's pretty cool.I won't say more
until I know if my offer was taken.
The money is all spoken for,one way or another. The Dakota
needs some work done on it soon.I might sell it also.
I think the price was just right - I got at least what I
had invested in it,maybe a little more.Plus it just developed an
exhaust leak on the way to Lodi.I also realized that just one of
the gas tanks was 1/2 full (2 tanks - 20 & 17 gallons).
I think that I made the right decision.
