Since it got too cold out I've been ordering parts for the Midget basically to convert to dual HS4s and do a few other things. Here's where I am;
1. Carbs and manifold arrived today from UK (will sell the weber)
2. New front exhaust pipe (gonna lose the catalytic converter-headers can wait)
3. All proper fuel lines on hand from Moss UK
4. All proper breather piping due tomorrow from MGOC Spares
5. All new manifold hardware
6. All new hoses for radiator, manifold, etc.
7. Original valve cover bought (gonna sell the cast aluminum)
8. Oil filter adapter due tomorrow (gonna lose the oil cooler)
9. Oil pressure relief valve to be changed
10. New UniSyn on hand for carbs (will need for BGT too)
11. New water pump

Still need;
1. Blast cabinet (for exhaust manifold - Harbor Feight?)
2. Hi-temp coating for manifold and exhaust pipe
3. Fuel filter
4. ???

Most of the parts for the carb conversion (except the carbs) came from Moss UK and MGOC Spares. I got several free catalogs from Moss and there is a tremendous amount of technical info and nice blow-ups of parts. After I get thru this the 5 speed kit will hopefully be ready.

Let the fun begin!!

Build yourself a bong for the blast cabinet before you even fire it up. Otherwise garage will be coated with powder in 5 minutes of use. Just ask me. Small $29.95 Shop Vac, 5 Gallon Bucket, water and some plastic pipe. You're wife will never tolerate the blast cabinet in her garage.

Jim,

Can you describe the 'bong' here, or send the description/instructions to me?

I have your typical harbor freight small blast cabinet and have the media everywhere, everytime I use it... I am also trying to figure out a good, inexpensive method of containing/recapturing powder everytime I powdercoat any part... I probably waste more than I should...and have to clean up powder all everytime.
