All went for $1225

I think the real issue must be sorting through, transporting and storing all that stuff; unless you already have a warehouse and a way to manage the inventory and sell some of it, its an awful lot of sheet metal and cast iron to move from point a to point b

I saw this & I was tempted...

BUT the guy said that he'd only hold it for 6 weeks & then after that anything remaining was going to the scrapper! I just couldn't reasonably find the time to get out to Fresno, sort thru all of the stuff, load it all into a truck (or 2), and then haul it cross-country!

To be honest, I think the seller would have been better off splitting it into 2 or 3 auction lots. It probably would have interested more bidders, as it would have been a more manageable sized lot.

I'm willing to bet that the winning bidder doesn't take it all, and we see another auction to follow.

You simply can't buy all of the "deals"!!

Is that the stash that Dom (Airport Racer) of SpriteSpot purchased?

Yes, it is!
Good to know that it went to a fellow enthusiast!!

He says to the SpriteSpot forum, "Once I get it back here and inventory it, I'll have a list for you guys, to give you first shot at any of the parts."

Worth watching for!

Don't get your hopes up for a bunch of cheap parts. Dom is working on restoring a 100-4 and making it "M" spec.

Trevor, you are correct, Dom bought the lot! I offered to help him pick it up then I can stealthily siphon off a few things I need....NOT! :jester:

AT LEAST they didn't go to the scrap yard...

Trevor, It's not like that. I have been selling parts on eBay for a while now. Most of the stuff I start at $9.99. It's going to sell for what someone is willing to pay for it. Yes, I'm restoring a 1955 Hundred but the car is complete, these parts will help, but that wasn't the main reason I bought this.

Roy, You can always come over and help me inventory what's there. I'll give you some parts for the help!

I was not suggesting that you were looking to fund an entire project at the expense of needy spridget owners, just making a light hearted joke about the varied "values" of sprites and big Healeys.

My apologies if that came across wrong.

Dom,

I'm just happy that a British Car Guy is saving all of these spare parts from the scrap yard!
<span style="font-weight: bold">GOOD FOR YOU!</span>

It IS gonna be a BIG Job to sort & catalog all of it! I don't envy THAT job! You are wise for accepting help! :computer:

Best of luck with it all. I hope you manage to find a few "sweet" parts for your next project! :driving:

"Cheers!"

I've started listing items from this purchase. If you want just watch eBay seller healey_55. People have been asking me for certain items and there is so much stuff, there is no way I'd be able to dug through it all to find anything. So I thought this way would be the easiest for you to see what's for sale- Thanks
