I just entered my newly finished TR-6 in its first car show today in Rochester NY and won best of class for Imports, 1963 to 1980. Just makes me feel good that the only TR-6 among 25 or so cars in my class won. Thanks again for all the advice and encouragement from the group. Now if I can only get the overdrive to work!! Ha!

Thats awesome Mark, way to go. What were some of the cars you were up against in your class?
 
There were many MGB's, a TR-4, a few Jags, and several 944's. All in all I'd say 25 cars or so in the class. On a side note, the day prior my drivers side mirror flew off at 60 mph and of course hit the door before smashing itself to bits on the pavement! I had the old style wing type mirrors that are held on with a cone shaped bolt. It must have worked its way loose in the 100 or so miles I had on the car. I had to swap mirrors and just filled the holes on the passenger side where the mirror used to be with small rubber plugs. The judges noticed it and after I explained what had happened, I guess I didn't get dinged too much for it. Lesson learned I guess! I ordered the correct style bullet mirrors from TRF and they will be installed later this week. No more parts flying off the car I hope!
