There's a neat interview written up in the archives of that blog, about the Berlina that finished 5th in the 1972 running of the Cannonball, too.

There was a Red SS here in town,quite a few years ago.
It was parked at my friend's auto repair shop.He heard a "crash".
Seems the kid delivering parts hit it - of course he missed the
beaters that were parked by it.
