Albino deer hit by car...

A friend sent these this evening. Tthis deer was hit by a car on the highway south of LR. Kinda odd looking, huh?

Was the meat utilized? The color shouldnt have an impact on meat quality. Shame to see the animal wasted. Up North there are programs in place to donate the meat if it is prepared by a licensed butcher.

Just curious.
 
All "white meat" I suspect. hehehehe

That is not an albino deer that is a deer imported from Thailand. You can tell by the antlers--cross between a deer and a moose (flat forks). We have a herd of them on the ranch where Sea Biscuit was raised. My Dad got two of them a long time ago. Used to have the mounted heads. BTW-good eats.
 
Are they privatley raised and this one escaped or have they infiltrated the local deer community? Ah "the other white meat."

that. Looks as if he insisted on taking his right of
way, because he had that right. And now he's, you
guessed it...dead right.
