Hello from Alaska! Moved from Europe to Alaska a few years ago and I was looking for a fun car. Never owned a Triumph Spitfire before and I have to confess that I never looked into one. Used to drive different BMWs on track days and national racing club events. Since I used to own a Mazda MX-5 NB as well I was looking into something similiar and a 1979 1500 Triumph Spitfire caught my attention. I bought the car, is great fun to drive and I used it as a tool to learn how to work on cars (see modifications). She has roughly 40,000 miles and is besides the typical flaws running quite well. Since I love to draft modified cars I did the same with my Spit and got inspired by other sports cars that raced in Le Mans and other places - one day she will be completely green. Great fun: the side exit exhaust without any cat...

great car and very cool modifications! Not sure what to be most impressed with a 400k Spit or the magnitude of the change from Europe to Alaska!

welcome
