Not a funny story...but I was lucky. This afternoon I thought I'd do the final little bit of chemical stripping on a car door. Had a gallon, nearly full and as I took it off the bench beside one of my 911s..it slipped out of my hand, landed totally flat on the bottom and the lid blew like a cork. I had it in my left hand and a large amount of the stripper shot out like it was pressurized...up my sleeve, down my side, another part of that shot past my face, just missing and over the top of the left front fender of the 911. I tore the shirt off and drenched myself with soap and water. I now sport a very ugly burn that I have smeared with triple antibiotic cream. I think I'll stick with sandpaper. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

How's the car?

Oh my gosh Jack! I hope you're ok! I've worked with that stuff quite a bit, and it's some severely nasty stuff.. I can't imagine getting drenched in it. Glad it missed your face!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
Hope the 911 isen't too bad off...
If looking at the damage on the Porsche is too painful a memory, I'd gladly take it off your hands for ya /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

The 911 survived....as did the can of striper:> I had just uncovered the 911 from its spot outside so I can possibly start the 3.2 or 3.6 engine upgrade. I've been saving my pennies, selling blood and offering my body(my wife is still laughing about that) so I could maybe start hunting for my next airplane. Wife thinks maybe a faster Porsche is safer. If I upgrade, I may overhaul the 2.7 out of the 911 and upgrade my 70E model that has a 2.2 and a 901 tranny...I have a spare 915 I was saving for the 75S model"just in case". I'm beginning to think I have too much stuff.
