can anyone refresh my memory on how the air pump mounts to a '77 midget? I can't seem to remember how the brackets went and I can't find the pics of the motor I took before I disassembled it... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif ... A picture or two would also greatly help. Thanks!

I'll see if I can get a picture of mine this evening and/or desribe how it goes together. I do recall that it was not that intuitive when I last had it out.

Well, here's what I managed to get pictures of. Unfortunately I don't have an endoscope for my camera. Basically, the two slotted adjusting bars go around the long lower bolt of the air pump. There's a spacer that goes between the top ear of the air pump and the lower bracket of the alternator, which you can get a pretty good view of. Hope this helps! I'll see if my worksop manual gives an exploded view too, maybe I can scan that.
