Air Horn

Offline
Can someone with an air horn setup post a picture of how/where they mounted it under the hood. Just bought the Hella two trumpet air horn. Any installation tips appreciated too, thanks. Mike

Mike: I found that keeping the hose from the compressor to the horns as short as possible minimized the lag between pushing the button and the horns sounding. (Sorry, no pics. Was on a now- gone mimi-motorhome.)

I'm on the road this week so can't show a picture, but on my TR4 I tucked air horns right by the lower radiator mount just inside the radiator shroud. I rigged up a small bracket that held both horns and the pump. Won't win any car shows with the install but they work a lot better than the sick horns I had been using. And I left the original horns in place so unless someone really looks at first glance everything looks pretty stock.

I've got those too,RobT. Instant response because the compressor is right there next to the trumpets.
I used the existing wiring and relay. I mounted mine on the driver side radiator brace's bolt. Nearly as loud as the big trumpets and louder than original electo-magnetic.

Sorry, no photos but mount the horns facing down so that moisture cannot build up internally which will eventually foul the horn
Italian triple trumpet unit
Trumpets mounted on lower passenger side rad support with the compressor on the wheel well.
Relay on aux. fuse block but tied to existing horn. Shut off switch mounted under the steering column.
No razzle dazzle switch for toodle loo tone

get you one of those signal horns for boats, boy will that wake up the dead, maybe I will carry mine around just for fun, I always carry my 9mm with me too, although I do live in Charlotte and I do have the proper CCP

A 9mm what??? Surely LBCs all use SAE fasteners.

Personally I always carry the compound bow with dynamite attached to the front. You don't need a CCP for that. Just ask Bo and Luke...
