Air Filters

I think I got lost out in left field somewhere. Why not use the STOCK filters if nothing else works? Or are we talking about a modification of some type where the stock filters won't work? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gifPJ

They'd be fine but he doesn't have the "cans". Tho it's likely he could get a set from... um... *somebody* who has an extra set or two and not bust the budget.

Tony?

My PO put Stellings & Hellings filters on my car. They look okay but I definitely want to get K&Ns when I rebuild the carbs, hopefully within the next year. Tony is right, they are very restrictive. They also whistle right around 2750 RPM, which is actually quite charming! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Used original air filter cans for MGB's are cheap!

Yeah Doc, that's what I was getting at. As Tony says, the original cans are cheap and the filters for them are not expensive. And, they fit without modifying anything. PJ

Have not used em yet but remember these? One of our vendors.

They sure look great and have integral velocity stacks.

I remember them Jack. Those are the air filters I was talking about in my earlier posts. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Sharp air filters for sure, and the washable duel layer foam elements too. Like I said earlier, I'm planning to get one of those for my HS6 when I rebuild it, but with the MG crest on it instead. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Nice thing there I suppose, is you can get spare elements for your filter if you want. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
