Air cleaner hoses

I'm fitting a stock air cleaner assembly to my GT6 which should have two, 1 1/2 inch hoses running from the air cleaner to the radiator shroud. I'm not sure what the original hoses looked like, so it's hard to select the "correct" replacement.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good, correct-looking replacement for these hoses?

Thanks for the ideas.

By the way, I should include that I can't use the original length hoses sold by most vendors. I'm fitting a different intake configuration that requires longer hoses.

A photo of someone's GT6 that has original-looking hoses would be nice.

Thanks!

Hi Mark.
Here is a pic of the Hoses I bought from Canley Classics in England...I know im sure you could find them closer, But I needed alot of stuff.
They measure about 1.5-2 feet long.

First, I'm going to apologize for posting a solution to my own post. But, I dug up an answer last night that's worth sharing.

In the Dave Bean Engineering Lotus parts catalog (which also has tons of LBC-related parts), I found the perfect, correct hoses for the GT6 Stromberg carb air cleaner assembly. It's the corrugated, 1 1/2" hoses with smoothed ends for fitting into an air cleaner or plenum. They're custom made at various lengths from about 13" to over 21".

I studied photos of original equipment GT6 and Spitfire air cleaner hoses and these seem to be correct in appearance. There wasn't a price in the catalog, I'll call to get one.

So there it is. The Dave Bean catalog is a good source for Triumph-related stuff such as rotoflex couplings (Quentin-Hazel, NOT Metalastic), Smiths gauges, Stromberg, Weber and Dellorto carbs and parts, and a wide range of racing-related parts. It's focused mostly on Lotus bits, though.

Anyway, I hope this info is useful.

Brian, thanks for posting the pics, your help is appreciated!

Thanks, Tony. Nice looking engine bay.

Is anyone from your area going to Britain on the Green car show on April 25 up near Mt. Vernon?

Mark,

I won't be at BOG this year, but I will be at Brits on the Bay June 5th in Virgina Beach. Triumph-less most likely, but I'll be there
