Janet and I just got back from a drive to Nashville to one of our favorite restaurants with some friends there. Drove the B down and back with the top down. Perfect weather, and the B didn't skip a beat.

Like the title of the thread, ain't nuttin' better!

Now, if I can just get the GT in a similar state...

Very nice, Mickey. On Saturday I'm driving the B down to our local big concours show (as a spectator, not a participant). Weather looks good, so should be a nice day out. Leaves are changing fast here, winter will approach soon so got to get those driving days in while I can.

My daughter and I are getting excited that it's finally cooling down here in Phoenix. We tried to work on her car a couple times this summer, but the metal sitting in the sun can actually get hot enough to impart first degree burns.

I'm hoping we can find the time to assemble the garage-tent-canopy thing we picked up at Harbor Freight this weekend. It'll make it a much better experience working out there with a little shade.

Oh, and by the way, ahi tuna with wasabi and fresh ginger - WOW! Hadn't had that in a loooong time.

Oh, and I lied - a little: The MG skipped a little beat. I've had issues with the hood popping up in the past. (Thank goodness for the safety latch!) Had adjusted it to where it was cured, but we just got the car back from having it resprayed, and the body guy tweaked the hood a bit, as the front outer edges were raised a bit; probably from pushing down on the center to close it. Will have to adjust it again, but that's no biggee.

As I said, this car is running great and tracks perfectly. Gonna take another drive today - high in the 70's. Ain't nuttin' better!

rainy season in southern Florida so I have time to do some work on the MG. rebuilding the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder...low pressure issue, leaking somewhere. also front brake pads and hoses.

Tomorrow is the father-daughter cookout at my daughter's high school. I'll clean up the MG and drive that if the weather cooperates.....

Just back from the drive - went to Opry Mills and met the kids and grandkid. Bought some goodies, then out to Hendersonville to the Texas Road House. - huge burger and trimmings.

Then took back roads up to the Kentucky state line before heading back to Clarksville.

Reckon the hood latch is set!

Saw some other oldies on the road - early 60's Galaxie (actually got a wave from him before I did), couple of street rods, plenty of motorcycles, but no British cars.
