North end of Ashland, Oregon, behind the 76 station, is about a 1955 Plymouth Belvedere V-8 stick w/overdrive wagon.......Vermont plates, and current!
Folks at the station say the owner was on his was home from "Burning Man" and broke down....they are fixing it while he is home working, to pick it up later.

Don't know how many decades it's been since I've seen one of these.

You were in Ashland - that's only about 4 hours away!
You should have come up the coast & stopped by.

sweet - just looking at that car a soundtrack started playing in my head - surfin' safari number one and wipeout number 2.

I remember these cars...but not the wagon version.
I cannot recall last time I saw one of these....the sedans all over the place, but boy, must be getting old.....

My first car was a '55 Plymouth Belvedere. Had a metal dash with a little, skinny gearshift lever (2-speed auto) sticking out of the dash. Also, some hot PO installed a rubber blade fan on the dashboard!

Great car with a HUGE back seat. That car would easily fit 6 adults, or 12 teenagers.

Plymouth, another great and storied marque, gone with the wind.

Memories . . . :yesnod:
