After running the Hoopa Hillclimb last weekend,
I'm considering replacing the Cortina with a car that would
be competitive.Hoopa is very steep,so power/torque is important,
as well as good tires/handling.It would have to be able to seat
4 people as well.
A few of the cars I'm considering are:

Mustang GT (any year)

1984/85 Ford LTD LX (smaller LTD-4door Mustang GT)

Nova Twin Cam (the "Toyota Nova" - 3,000 made)

I'm hoping to find something around $2,500 that could also
be a daily driver.Any other ideas?

Billy,

Yeah, the LTD LX had the 302 HO,posi rear end,& the all-
important 20 gallon gas tank. The only made 3260 of them in '84/'85.
I had one,& might buy it back from the owner. The ones I've seen for-
sale all seem to be way overpriced,or too far away.
I'm also looking into V6 Mustangs, but can't seem to find all
the listings for V6/V8 horsepower ratings.
Right now,I'm just looking,& waiting for the right deal to come
my way.Where's Jack Q. when you need him?
