It certainly could be a Longbridge BN4? Does that driver's door have an outside locking door handle? If it does?, it certainly is the Longbridge BN4. Let's open that hood to check out the vin # plate on the firewall, the carbs, the vacuum line, and the temp guage sensor tied into the radiator. To place an appropriate date of manufacture on this BN4, possible Longbridge?
To check the details for verification for the 100-Six - check derek job's website - www.healeysix.net - . you should find the answers to many of your questions there with one visit. Best of Luck with your project. Jim /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

it looks like there are outside door handles.....

is a "Longbridge BN4" a good thing ?

I hope it's a good thing, it does look like you've got yourself one. Crease in bonnet, lock on passanger door, etc. Good Luck!!

Look at that, "barn finds" are still around. Good on ya. Another saved from the grave.

Teach me, does that have an alum body?

only in the west.
if that car had been stuck in the ground for 25 years in the northeast, all there'd be is a pile of rusty colored dust. good luck with it.

Jack,
All of the 'big' Healeys had aluminium front and rear shrouds (center sections). The rest of the panels, at least on the 6 cylinder cars, was typically steel.

Hi......

do any other knock-off rims fit ?

I am just thinking how I am going to get it out of the hole its in,
It would be nice if the tires hold air , but thats a bit much to ask.....

plus then there is the rattle snake question , snakes under the Healey does not seem like a good movie .....

where did the jack normally go one these ?
Is there a hole in the side for the jack ?

Any ideas appreciated

thanks Beaulieu

Take an air cylinder with you if you can. These cars had tube type tires so they might hold air for awhile. Jacking is tough - no holes in the side like a Sprite. Maybe attach a tow line to the differential and drag out backward.

I am bringing a few "air in a can" tire fillers , my 12v compressor, my 12v winch and jumper battery , lots of chains , my big tow truck "hook" to put around the rear axle , a shoval and boards to dig a path for the tires to roll and a pair of floorjacks.....ohh and a furniture dolly

main thing is I do not want to do any damage to the body pulling it out......

Beaulieu.
Took one out of a back yard a few years ago just like that.I used a fork lift and a flat bed.Fork lift blades kill rattle snakes.---Keoke-- /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

don't go killing those rattle snakes...they're your friends...been keeping the rodents from eating the upholstery.

I have no plans to kill them there snakes, /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

yes they keep the critters away ,
I would just like to leave them there and not inside the Healey /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

well I have the truck loaded , will pick up the trailer first thing in the morning and go get it ,

hopefully it will only take an hour or so to dig it out and get it on the trailer ,

Anyway I will have more pictures then and try and figure out what I am doing with it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif, probably sell it to finance some of my other projects /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
