kudos to the law enforcement dept's

Hold on... I remember posting this in the Healey forum about a year ago. Isn't this a 2012 story? :rapture: Still, pretty amazing!

[edit: oh, I see that it IS from 2012]

Mark- That is the very first thought I had when I read the story... you are correct, it happened exactly a year ago. It would be nice to see a follow-up story on its restoration. Still a good story and worth reading again, thanks Paul!

Yeah, Elliot, I agree that it would be nice to see the follow-up (as they suggest they'll put $20-30K into it). An amazing recovery story!

There was an article - in Hemming Sports & Exotic car.
I think that it was the July 2013 issue.

Almost bought a new AH in 1960! I had a deposit on it, but due to a mess up in the shipping orders it got shipped elsewhere in the world! I was re reimbursed by the British firm and since then I forgot all about owning one. First time I've seen this story and thought it pretty cool! Hmmm, did the thief get 42 years in the clink?:encouragement: PJ

I love it, they'll sell them their stolen car back. This is all very interesting. I know down here, newest title dictates ownership. If the dealer had a good clear title there would be nothing the PO could do about it, except for maybe sue the state for issuing it...and we all know how that would turn out...
