I'm cornfused. I always thought 'N' stood for 2-seat roadster, 'T' for 2+2 roadster and 'J' for 2+2 convertible. The BN4 was a 2+2?

Yes, BMC goofed. The BN4 should have been BT4. Then they goofed again when they called the BJ7 a Mark II, when "the first Mark II" was obviously a tri-carb roadster, quite different from the BJ7. Of course that would have made the BJ8 the Mark IV. And so it goes.

Wow! Looks like a totally restored car. Congrats.

Great colors, and LOVE the driving lights.
Thanks, the interior, top and Tonneau are of the same level....I usually buy and fix up but this was simply too nice.
I do know of a very nice and mechanically sound BN6 tho that is under represented by the add work if anyone is interested. No affiliation but a nice car guy owner and I chatted with his mechanic. Solid car that needs just a serious cleanup and minor interior cleaning and fettling. 42k ish

As fate would have it, I recently acquired a BN6 that will be available in the not-too-distant future. $30k. Currently all white, but will likely get two-toned soon. 72-spoke chrome wires (not what I'd do, but it came that way). New tires. Late BJ7 engine. Runs great. Engine compartment "not Pebble Beach quality," but if someone seriously wants a "nice driver" - like so many people say when what they really want is a Pebble Beach class winner - it would be a very good choice; a great first Healey for someone.

Should we keep an eye out on BaT for it? ;)

ps. Thanks for the explanation.

Looks gorgeous !
Thanks, they sent a compression test which was nice and the Heritage Cert. I usually go in for one that needs some work but figured just once..go all in. I am actually happy with the interior color change...never cared for the red as the carpets always go orange in short order.

Finally, in the hopper....great folks that had the car but they were off from before Christmas until the 3rd.... this I knew but patience is a virtue but not one of mine.

Safe in the Garage.... fired right up with good oil pressure and I'll start going thru everything tomorrow. The driver was a younger Ukrainian who has been here just a few months but spoke passable English. He got the car here in 2 days safely. I tipped him pretty well and welcomed him to America.

Had a slight seep at the new fuel pump so took that out to re seal.... they never look as good in person as in the pics but this is a solid car and will be fun... as a mechanic I can deal with that...bodywork and rust no. So I went for a restored chassis/body and this is very nice. Minor issues so it'll be fun to work on and get just right. Close, but no cigar, but all of the heavy lifting is done.
