AH BJ8 hood frame spring where I got hooked

I have recently been reviewing the frame of the hood of my car, I realized that I had not the long springs, I bought them and my surprise was that when I went to install it I realized that I have no accommodation where to insert the spring. I guess that it was covered in some old restoration.
Any of you know if the last series of the MKIII BJ8 furnishing these frame springs ? and in that case, what should be the position and diameter of the hole where it fits in spring.

Thanks in advance.

There was a tab welded to the edge of the sill that puts the spring roughly parallel to the shut pillar. I never put mine back with no problem raising or lowering the top.

Thanks in advance.
A photo of one of the lower spring attachments is in the upper right hand corner. Hope this helps.

Thank you both for your help.
The photo has given me clear the location, I thought I would set on the side.

Lorenzo.
