I was checking out the thread on "steering rack lubrication" in Spridgets, and it raised a question that I'm faced with. I have a "minor" leak, i.e., less than a quart a day on a Healey, in my steering box. I picked up a bottle of Lucas power steering stop leak. It looks like a 90 weight or more. It's supposed to swell the internal seals. Now I know you troublemakers from warm sunny Southern California will want me to tear down the box and rebuild it, but it's already below zero up here in The Big Igloo, and the garage isn't heated, so I'd rather cheat a bit. Has anyone used this stuff, and does it work?
