AH 100 owners, please tell me how much you typically pay for a professional tune-up of your car.

(I also notice that Moss Motors offers distributor caps for the AH100 for $9.50. Is that what you-all are paying? If not, how much?)

Thanks!

Reid, can't help you with cost, just amateur tune-ups performed on the blue terror, I was reading Sports Car Market Reviews of british cars online the other day and they listed such costs in the hundreds of dollars, maybe $350 or $450. Not sure if that is a points, condensor timing sort of tune up, or adds carbs to the mix. But if just ignition it seems kind of high to me.

Hi Reid, I do not know what current tune up charges are. However $9.50 won't buy a Lucas Dizzy Cap. OTOH if you have an original Lucas cap on your car you probably do not need a replacement anyway.--Fwiw---Keoke- /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/yesnod.gif

Reid,
I am no help because I do all of my own work.
The devil is in the details. If all they are doing is putting in new points and plugs, then adjusting the timing, $350.00 is highway robbery .

I was quoted $70. for a DM6 cap for my BJ7 by a California supplier. The product was made in China and sold through a distributor in Britan. Weary of aftermarket parts I've decided to change out the whole system to the 123.
