Don't worry Bas. I've printed off a bunch of threads that I can tape to my monitor in the event of a glitch so I don't start having nervous twitches and panic attacks.
I could put togeather a package deal for you to sell in the BCF store if you want. We could call it "BCF emergency backup system"

I would not be surprised if they were from Russia, Albania or the like. Even if caught little can be done. BUT I hope they are from the U.S. and get nailed royally.
 
I was thinking france or italy myself, based on the name.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be critical. Just wanted to share my observation in case someone found humor in the typo. I once made a mistake ... I think it was in 1989. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
 
I'll chime in with my support for your efforts as well, Basil. I manage the webserver at the school district where I work, and we're hit with attack attempts every few minutes. Those little script bots are persistent! Thanks for all your efforts keeping this wonderful site alive.

It's possible but I've been recording many different IPs from people trying to hack me again. They can't because I closed the security hole in Threads they were using, but instead I added some code so that I get an email with their info every time someone hits the script file in question directly in their browser.

Now, now, perhaps we could persuade them to do something socially useful with thier bent talents- like take down sites that spam people or are full of popups, or porn sites, etc. My particular target I'd sic 'em on are sites that host video of school-yard fights and such like....
