Hi, I just joined.. (well actually I just had my account unbanned after it was banned on my 'first post' months ago, The mods decided I was fishing for clicks... sorry y'all, won't do it again!)

So yea, I Live in England (just north of London) and own a 67 Wedgewood blue GT6 (Mk1). Had it about 3 Months or so and loving it so far. Noteable individualities of the car are a rather 70's looking front valance, and triple CD150 Strombergs, and HORRIBLE chrome wella 8 spokes! It's a bit of a git in the winter but I mended the heater yesterday so the 120 Mile drive home from the holidays in -1 degree C wasn't too bad this morning.

Anyway.. that enough about me for now.. Cheers!
Ben

We've only had a little bit here. Its funny, there are 'Severe Weather Warnings' all over the news, but haven't seen much between the South-West of England and the South East here. Having said that, I did nearly loose the 6 on the Motorway earlier - I pulled out around a truck and ice between the lanes made the back end wobble all over the place. It was a stoopid time to accelerate as fast as I did... Tis a big learning curve owning this car. FUN!

Welcome back Ben, are you on any Forums over there? your GT6 looks familar.

Ben,
Sorry to hear of you're encounter on your "first post"
The "mods" do a good job of keeping us spam and bully free, so any hint of canned meat is blown out of the water right off.
Glad to see you came back. I hope you enjoy it here.

Welcome, Ben, and congratulations on purchasing a fine GT6.
Because people on this board are from all over ther place you may notice different terms used to describe the same parts oif a car; for example, here in Canada we refer to the "rather 70's looking front valance" as a "snowplow", at least at this time of year!

Banjo: yea I can understand why i was banned, I have moderated forums of my own in the past and know that its best to have a zero tollerance policy. Shoot first, ask questions laterer etc.

Simon: hahaha!... yea it'd snap off within a couple of seconds around your way I bet. I didn't like it at first, thought it looked too much like the sort of thing people strap on the bottom of small 'hot-hatch' modern cars over this side of the water (https://www.stupidnorthernmonkey.co.uk/), but after living with it for a few months I rather like it now. And the vent at the front IS actually used to pipe fresh air directly under the K&Ns.
