aftermarket speedo?

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with after market speedometers? I've finally got my Stag 95.5% sorted and fairly reliable! Buick 232/T-45 swap. (bought it that way!) The problem I have is the speedometer cable angle. After installing the gear reduction thingy from GM the cable is at such an angle it breaks. Due to the limited room in the tunnel the only way it will work is if I cut a hole in the tunnel and run the cable through the car. I don't want to do this because I want to swap a 3.0/O.D trans back some day.(the car has 28k on it) Any suggestions? I don't want to replace the dash. Exactly what size is the hole? I believe they are the same size as a Spit or TR. Thanx!

I've been updating my wife's newly acquired Stag with new instruments. I've installed the fuel gauge, temp, voltmeter, and swapped the non working clock for oil pressure.
I'm using the VDO Vision series.
As soon as she OK's the money, I plan to put in the electronic speedometer and tach. They are 4 inch instruments.
This is with the stock engine, and trans w/ OD.
