After 30 years, going back to a 3000

It's lovely and the same as mine but smarter, I hope you have lots of fun in it. Here's video to conjure up an image for you:

Ash,

Could you check the link to the video? It doesn't work for me and I'd like to see it if you recommend it.

Thanks, Jeff

(Ash, that link works now- thanks and that was fun to watch.)

The 3000 is now up and running- it took a few hours to drain all the fuel, loosen up sticky choke linkages, clean the carb jets, install new spark plugs, install and set ignition points, and set the timing (statically for now). I had forgotten how pleasantly loud the Big Healey can be!

I still have quite a list of tinkering, but here's a shot of the engine compartment as a question comes to mind. Is there supposed to be a rubber strip along the engine lid opening near the air cleaners? Seems I've seen those at some point, can't remember details now.

Thanks, Jeff

There are also a bunch of rubber blocks that go on the opposite side. I think there were five. There will be holes in the inner edge of fender for them which I cannot see on your picture. Then the debate begins, which way do the flare form the long strip go? Facing in or out?
