I am ready to send my dizzy out to Jeff (hopefully today!), but when do you provide payment? Does he call upon receipt and evaluation of the distributor and give you the price, then you provide payment?

I think you need to email him but I have usually paid in advance since most of his prices are flat rate.

I had a very positive experience recently when I purchased one distributor from Jeff and also had him refurbish another--both for the Elva. He did very nice work for a reasonable charge and turned things around quickly and as promised. I recommend him highly.
 
Tell jeff everything you want him to do to it and he will give you a price. I paid for mine over the phone when it was finished. I think the distributor was gone for about 5 days total. He is very fast!
