Adrift for five months?

That’s a great book pretty amazing what happened
can you imagine having your ship crush around you
the rest of the journey is amazing
proof!
You can’t make this up.

Another good read
Over the Edge of the World
about Magellan’s circum navagation of the world
at one point the ships spilt up then meet up like a year later insane.

Another good read - The Dove.My Sister knew Robin,& his Family,
when they lived just outside of Kalispell,Montana. They took me up there to
see the cabins that Robin had built. This was about 1974.

It was 1974 when I saw the "The Dove" at a drive-in sitting on the hood of a Toyota Landcruiser.

Another real adventurer Robert Manry sailed across the Atlantic in a 13 1/2" boat in 1965. https://www.amazon.com/Tinkerbelle-Robert-Manry/dp/B0007E3TRU

And Joshua Slocum, probably the first to circumnavigate the globe single-handed. https://www.amazon.com/Sailing-Alone-Around-Joshua-Slocum/dp/0486203263

Read Manry's "Tinkerbell" book when in junior high. Had learned to sail when I was a twelve year old kid, on Lake Erie. Sailed across to Canada in a Ray Green 'Rebel' at 18, with friends (Cleveland paper had us "lost at sea" when we hadn't returned on the scheduled date, too  ). Mom was beside herself. Any sailor with experience on that Freshwater Sea knows how fickle it can be; sails luffing one minute and within an hour you're reefing the main.

This story of these two "lost for months" just doesn't make sense to me.

Now that we are on the topic of good reads, Exploring with Byrd is a pretty good read. It is the autobiography of RADM Richard Byrd of arctic and antarctic exploration fame.
