I was at a local hillclimb recently.
A participant brought his dog (off leash).
The dog was a constant irritation to a lot
of people.
Why to some people think that since they
think of their pets so highly, that everyone else
should feel the same?
And why are the same people offended when
other people bring their misbehaving children?
The point being that not all of us feel that
your pets/children are as "precious" as you think
they are.
I have a 7 year old Granddaughter,who is very
high strung, but would not expect other people to
be treated as "precious".
Does anyone "get this"?

W.C. Fields is alive and well!

I have two Golden Retrievers. Whenever they are in public, they are leashed with gentle leads, (they have a muzzle effect)
Annie and I are well aware that the rest of you may not like dogs as we do. (You silly Folks).
Now if only we could put, Oh nevermind. That will just get me in hot water!

On a grocery run, Horsemits encountered a young couple walking through the parking area with their child in a harness and a leash.

mehheh...

Says She: "What an adorable child! Does he bite?"

Mommy was not amused, hissed back: "That's HIS idea!"

Spent the weekend in New Orleans working on my son's shotgun house (I'm a good dad). Took a break and went to Starbucks for a coffee with my son. Decided to go outside for a smoke and walked past a young Yuppie pregnant gal with her rescue dog. EVERYBODY in New Orleans has a rescue dog. This gal's dog was MOSTLY Pit Bull. Another couple walked past with their rescue dogs and the rescue part-Pit lunged forward and wanted to tear them to pieces. I later told the Yuppie mom-to-be that perhaps her choice in pets was not wise. She did not appreciate my comments at all.
