Gents,

I read the instructions of the workshop manual (Section M) for adjustinge the rear brakes. Is it corret that I have to remove the brake drums to get access to the adjuster (#11 of the attached picture). If this is true how to adjust them "hard"? When adjusting the front brakes I can use my ears for adjustment since brake drums do not have to be removed.

Hi Volker,
No, you do not have to remove the drum. The adjuster #11 has a small, 1/4" or 5/16" I think, square extending out thru the backplate. You can just make out the square on the bottom (in the orientation of the picture you attached). On you car, look at the outside of the backplate opposite the wheel cylinder and you will see a small square.

Dave, you are totally right. I just misinterpreted the workshop manual. Thank you very much for your quick response. Volker
