adjustable steering

How many dumb questions does a guy get to ask? How do I know if I have adjustable steering and if I do how do I adjust it?

Thanks
Walter

There is a silver (?) spring circling the column just behind the wheel. There is a ring that tightens to hold the setting in place (mine doesn't stay real tight so I can move it in and out even when tight) but the whole thing is not an issue unless you are real short or tall. I'm only 5'10" and I have trouble getting in and out with the wheel any where but all the way to the dash.
Qustions are always good 'cause that's how we all learn and get new ideas about things that had not occured to us. I have better questions than answers so I learn a lot from this forum.

You're close to Tahoe. Come up for the June gathering and check out those things on other's cars. There should be 100 to 200 Healeys here. I beleive there are already 90+ regestered.

That's great! It was a good thing to find out because they had it all the way out. The car show sounds good. Are you going to the Dixon British Car Show & Swap Meet, May 17.

Thanks
Walter

I've never been. I have to look at my wife's calender. The one with the "Honey Dos" in it. Are you part of the Golden Gate group or the Sacramento group?

neither, I'm just going. If I went by my honey-do I'd never get to leave the property.

Check out the web site for the Golden Gate club.

Check out the schedule of events. Last weekend 10 Healeys went up Mt. Hamilton to the Lick Observitory. Up from Livermore down to San Jose. Beautiful Healey type roads. There are rides all around the Northern Cal area. Nice to be out with people who can help when something goes wrong. (One guy's clutch failed at the top.)
