I'm replacing the seat webbing on my seats after I discovered that the straps on the driver's seat were failing, and the guts of the seat were falling out. Now I see that the burlap covering the bottom of the seat foam is old and ratty, so I thought I'd replace that too. Since the old stuff was lightly glued to the foam, what should I glue the replacement on with?
 
I replaced both the seat back and cushion foam and webbing on my wife's '78 Midget this winter. I just pulled out the old foam seat bottoms, replaced with new, and put the webbing back on, no canvas or anything else between the two. Don't know if it was right or wrong, but boy those seats are so much different now! If you even think your foam is worn out, I'd recommend you go ahead and replace it too, it's really not that difficult, and your butt and back will thank you!
