Can you provide additional information on the cam?
 
P/N 88G229 BMC/BL factory "special tuning" camshaft for improved performance. Brand new still in grease proof paper and BL box. This cam was fitted to the long stroke 997cc Mini Cooper from the 1960s. It is a great performance upgrade for all standard A series engines. Must be used with pin drive oil pump. Camshaft is listed in the Special Tuning book as fitting all 848cc, 948cc 1098 cc and 1275cc engines. As noted in the special tuning booklet this camshaft with increased opening periods will give increased power outputs.

Specs. Inlet opens 16 deg. BTDC closes 56 deg. ABDC Ex. Opens 51 deg. BBDC closes 21 deg. ATDC Inlet period 252 deg. Ex. 252 deg. Lobe width 3/8"
