TR6 Adding lightness to a TR6

Exactly right, saved enough weight to carry a couple six-packs...but, hey,
kinda like a Snickers Bar and a diet Coke, you gotta cut someplace.

If that quote can be traced to Sir Colin. I take it back and bow down to the Prince of Lotus!!!

Remove all of the tools/spares from the boot. I'd lose a good 25 pounds by that alone.

Hummm- ya drive dangerously with only 25 pounds of tools and spare parts.
I'll have maybe 150 pounds loaded for my Enduro attempt.

Not all THAT light, IMO. Just a few pounds per side lighter.
Also available from US sources, like TRF.

And with respect to TR4Tony, the ad is rather misleading. The same drum does NOT fit TR3-4 and TR4A-6 properly. The solid axle cars need larger stud holes and more trimming to clear the backplate.

Besides, TR3s were never fitted with 9" Girling brakes, even though the ad implies they were. The change to 9" Girling didn't happen until well into the 3A series.

Dale.....that's what the chase car is for.....repeat after me - the tools and parts go in the chase car, the tools and parts go in the chase car......

Fill the tires with helium?? Goes along with the balloon suggestion.....
