I haven't touched the car ( 72 TR6)in a month since my self inflicted wound in installing my new dash and the wiring problems that insued. So today I took off early to dig in.
I decided to crack a beer ( have not had one in 2 years ) and the calming effect transported me into a wiring nirvona mind set like never before. I fixed all my dash wiring and IT ALL WORKS. son of a gun I just may have another.
Thanks to all that helped, and to BEER.

MGB short block as a base, shop vac for spillage... small TV for news broadcasts, "Workmate" (well 'worked'), a folding chair and Horsemits' on-board toolbox hiding at bottom right.
 
Don't think we'll swallow that story about Italian - it's American as can be - it has direct CAB injection.

Tool selection is a personal thing, I would prefer either Guiness or Belhaven, in the draught can with the widget.
