Actually made some progress on Bugsy II Today

For the first time in months I actually got 3 hours of time to spend with Bugsy II today. I got inner fender to radiator brackets mounted and installed. 3 of 4 bolt holes on fenders had broken bolts that needed to be coaxed out with heat and one needed to be drilled out and tapped. PS Bracket loots straight but DS Bracket a little whopper jawed and will need to changed out as the way it is bent it does not sit level. Tatersalad on BCF has another bracket he is sending. Since plan is for Bugsy II to go on a rotisserie this winter I wanted the radiator standards to get as much additional support as possible.

I was able to fix and weld up a crack in the DS Inner fender right at the very front. 1.5" long crack in the fender that welded up and ground down quite nicely, One more small crack to fix and on to working on welding in the battery tray vs. the pop rivets that are in there now. Thought is to grind down to shiny metal, spot weld at seal and leave rivets in place. 10 19 14 Repair RF Fender install fender bracket.jpg10 19 14 Install PS Fender Braqcket.jpg

A little bit every day.

Great to see some progress, Jim. Other than saving up some money I haven't even seen Penny for a few weeks.

Yeah Drew but someone else is making progress for you. Cleanup of battery shelf on tap for Monday. Flapper Wheel will get a workout tomorrow.

More Progress today after 3 hours with Flapper wheel on Angle Grinder. 1 small spot of rust through on battery tray. Thinking a little JB Weld on there to close hole up after some Evaporust / Rust Converter Paint and a little filler to smooth things out. Thoughts. Got the top side of things today. Lower areas need work with pressure washer and degreaser to get the oil off.

Back at it tomorrow. Glad I was doing this when temps were 60 degrees out not 90 degrees. Suggestions on pinhole fix appreciated.
