Starting a thread. What Actors do you know of who are also amazing musicians?
Jeff Goldblum really is an accomplished jazz pianist, not an actor who took up piano as a publicity project. He began piano lessons as a child in Pittsburgh and became seriously interested in jazz as a teenager. At about 15, he actually went through the Pittsburgh Yellow Pages calling cocktail lounges and telling them, essentially, “I understand you need a piano player.” He managed to get several paying gigs that way.
