ACH...Shingles

I think I will continue to think about the vaccine. I am just sitting on the fence. Hope I don’t fall off.

Was it a double dose...probably not.
There is a new vaccine that has 2 doses and they are recommending those that had the old ...get the new.
Sorry

It's called Shingrix

My doctor suggested that I get this, but Medicare requires that I get it from a pharmacy, not my doctor. I will be heading to CVS later this month. Knowing how people suffer with Shingles, I will go for the new vaccine.

It is expensive, wife had to pay $200, even on medicare.

It's not that bad a reaction
Just suggest you get it when you're not planning on anything for a couple of days
Who knows, you might breeze through it

8 weeks today I was diagnosed and I still have residuals on my chest and side.
I still have nerve pain, but not quite as severe. Still bothers me when I just stand around ...doing dishes...cooking...using the bar b que.
I have been working for about a week and I still down a fair amount of my Advil/naproxen cocktail
And it still itches a fair amount. Blew through a tube of cortisone

You sure have had a rough go of it. Hope it gets better without too much more time.
