Access Under the Carpet

Re: access to stuff behind the carpet

maybe I'm just not familiar with upholstery shears? I'm imagining something like a pair of scissors. it seems I would have to make an initial pilot hole to start the sheers?...and that would require a knife...yes?

Re: access to stuff behind the carpet

Well Nevets. yes they are like scissors. But are very very sharp and have very sharp pointed tips that cut right to the end.You could use a knife to establish a starter hole but it really isn't necessary. An upholstery shop could cut it for you in a min.---Keoke

Re: access to stuff behind the carpet

I checked out upholstery sheers, they are available online for about $35 - $50, depending on size. Don't know of a nearby upholstery shop I trust with my baby, so I may do the deed myself. Thanks for the usual good input. When I'm done I'll post a pic.
