Accelarator peddle travel

hello all.
i have a 75 spitfire with a Weber DGAV carb.
i recently got it on the road and have been doing some "shake down" testing.
today on a test drive i ran it up to 50mph and that was as fast as i could make it go.
when i got back to the house i checked the travel of the linkage and with the peddle on the floor the linkage is only actuating the secondaries just a little bit...

is there a way to increase the peddle travel? the screw stop on the back of the peddle is all the way in already...

thank you
Bill

Most of the time you'll find that the linkage under the bonnet is adjustable. If you lengthen it, the accelerator pedal will be higher in the footwell and bottom out at Wide Open Throttle.
