AC resection and rotator 'buffing'

Sounds like something you might have done to your car right?
Porting and polishing?

Last Monday morning I had surgery on my right shoulder, I "slept" (not really) in my easy chair until Thursday night.
Last night I slept in my bed, actually got a little sleep for a change.
One of the strangest things was that I woke up in the middle of a dream.
I can't say what it was really about, but the thing that woke me was when, in the dream, I threw a baseball.
My arm moved just like I was actually throwing a ball.
This caused a great deal of pain, so I would recommend against having such dreams while trying to recover from this kind of surgery.

The good news is that the arthritis in that shoulder should be gone, at least for now.
Hopefully never to return.

It's feeling better tonight, and bar any strange dreams I have hopes for getting some much needed rest tonight.

Rick it's just periodic maintenance that needs to be done as we put mikes on our bodies. Glad you are on the mend.

Best of luck with your recovery and hope it lasts a really long time.

Thanks guys, I'm a real fan of the arthroscopic procedures - so very glad this has come along when I really needed it.
I know plenty of guys who have had this done the old fashioned way, my recovery is happening so much faster it's just silly.

I did something weird like that about two weeks ago but it was a pointing thing at a book Kelly was reading. Weird thing is, my grandmother who just died did the same kinda thing all the time because of Alzheimers.

Good luck with your recovery! I had 5 surgeries on my rotator cuffs (4 on the right side and one on the left) in 1.5 years. I LIVED in those **** slings. I almost cannot sleep without something on my right side since I spent ~ one year wearing one sling or another on that side 24x7. I asked the doctor if I would ever be able to play the piano again and the doctor stated he couldn't see why not. I told him, funny, I couldn't play the piano before. My humor was NOT appreciated.

I can just imagine glancing over at a table in the OR and seeing a pickle fork and a ball joint separator...

I DO remember looking over and seeing a device right out of the Chinese finger puzzle times 5! Learned that is where they put your fingers while they work on the shoulder!

I'm in PT right now for Adhesive Capsulitis or "frozen shoulder", so I know the feeling. It means sanding will be put off for quite a while. Good luck with your recovery!

It's getting better a lot faster than I expected.
After starting the exercises I found I needed the ice again, they really know how to target the spot with those exercises!

Best of luck in your recovery, Rick, but all of you guys are making me feel positively healthy!! Yes, I've got the usual arthritis and my old motorcycle knee drives me nuts but....

Kurt.

Clean living on your part Kurt, that has to be the explanation!
