Dear All,
Having rewired the AC I have now found myself in a position where I am unable to connect the Lucas DR3 wiper motor to its loom.
The loom supplied by Autosparks has wires to power a DR1 wiper motor. DR1 wiper motors are unobtainable and therefore DR3 units often replaced them. The DR3 wiper motor is a two speed unit and works in conjunction with a Lucas PSR7 thirteen point switch. This switch sets the wiper in park mode, slow or fast speeds.
For those familiar with the switch, terminals 3 (loom white/green) ,5 (loom green/ purple),8 (loom green), 10 (loom black/green) and 13 (loom green/blue) are used.
From the wiper motor I have six wires exiting the motor housing. The body of the motor is earthed with an additional black loom wire. These wires are red/green (one of the armature carbon brushes), green/ blue (another armature carbon brush), green (ignition live), brown/ green (appears to go to coil), white/green (appears to go to another coil), and yellow/green.
Would anyone one know how the five loom switch wires join to the six motor wires ?
Thank you for looking.
All the best
James
