What a cool little car! I love the 50s specials like this. Had I time/skill/money it would be a blast to built one similar with Spridget mechanicals.

Alas, I have none of those things.

That's just NUTS!! Inside rear wheel's got daylight under it, thing looks to be ready to do *something*... likely it'd be wholly unexpected seein' the suspension all contorted like that. Kinda Cad-Allard like. Unsprung it wants to plough, loaded it spreads its arms like a child wanting to hug mama. Must be a handful!

...I'd 'ave a go. :smirk:

pucker up! looks like it's gonna kiss any car in front of it.hehehe. looks totally cool! I like it! I'm in line after Doc.

Daylight under the rear wheel(?), so what. This is a front wheel drive. I've seen a lot more daylight under a MINI rear wheel.

The contact patch on that thing is small enuff with all four on the ground... take away 25% of your grip and HANG ON!!! :jester:

Yeah, but the body lean on the outside tires would be similar to adding the down force of a big wing. Besides, one of the thrills of racing this type and other vintage cars is the HANG ON factor. Being areodynamically stuck to the pavement is highly overated IMHO. Much more fun trying to find and maintain mechanical grip while sucking up seat cover.
Just my opinion, though. To each his own.

I have a number of pretty funny pictures with my Escort on 3 wheels.

It's really funny with fwd VWs. A friend of mine keeps the inside rear wheel on his Golf off the ground all the way around Big Bend at Lime Rock.
When it come down, it makes a "chirp" like a plane landing.

And actually, you can do with less than three sometimes...... :jester:
