Great pics Ben.... thanks for posting them!

Great pics Ben, however the best one is the first one with that little vw fastback

Thanks Willie, Actually I was quite smitten by that Lancia Appia parked next to My VW in that pic. What a great little car, and left in it's "work cloths" after all these years.

Heheheee!!!

Thanks, Ben!

And to top off his weekend, Ben got the rare & unique chance to work on a Daimler SP250. At his house. In the rain. While the owner of said car went off in the tow SUV and visited wineries and did other fun stuff. THANKS BEN!!!!!

Doc-that is the finest looking ALFA racer I've ever seen.

The town puts on the best town party I've ever been a part of, everyone is laid back and friendly, open containers of adult beverages are tolerated in the closed-off streets, and the cars you see on the street are as varied as you will see in any museum. This was our 1st time; we've reserved a spot in one of the events for next year (it sells out in mid-October). We'll be running with Ben's father (primrose MGB).

Ben,

You get to hang out with a much cooler crowd than I do,
but what is the Ford Ranger doing there?

- Doug

What is on the two tables?
And I used to think that the Delorean was a cool looking car....but without the flux capacitor, and related parts installed it does not look so hot.

Fuel pumps.

And a couple cans of beer. :jester:

Mickey nailed it. I thought that there were a few people here that would appreciate that.
Dale, That's great news! I can't wait to see you guys again. We had a wonderful weekend, and It really was a rare and unique chance to get to work on your beautiful Daimler (I called dad and he came over to get a good look at it). I was more than happy to help out. Thanks for the bottle of wine by the way.
I have some more pics I'll try to share. I didn't take too many as I have totally missed an event trying to get pics before. I've decided a few select ones are enough, and just enjoy the experience.
The "Ranger" was actually a Bronco II. They're pretty lax about what kind of unusual stuff they let in the "Lemons" as they are trying to get more participants. Around here Bronco IIs are fairly rare as they mostly rusted out and have disappeared. But there were a few cars in there that I imagine will not be allowed in the future when the event becomes popular enough to fill up like most of the other events. There were also a beautiful Jag E-type and a nice Mini and a Miata in the group. they were nice cars, but I didn't think they really fit in the "unusual" theme of the Lemons event. That said, I'm glad they were there just to be part of the fun. At the end of it, that's what it's all about.

Here's some fermiliar folks!

This one was on a 40 Ford chassis, with a 48 Ford flathead motor. body is fiberglass by a California company from the late 40s, and is one of 3 known to exist.

those are amazing cars - I love unusual cars too!

There may be a "Friend of a friend" in the Lemons crowd... is there a "Splatos" there?

Not sure about a "Splatos".. But I didn't get to talk with everyone who was involved with the Lemons. What is it exactly?
