Aaaaaaa....

As I hear that music I instantly recall eight-hour drives in a '66 MGB. Hampton, VA to Pittsburgh, PA... "Dark Side" thru a cassette player. The play list also included 'Chicago' and 'The Doors'. Same thing happens when 'The Carpenters' come up.

...wow. i'm old...

Boy that rings true for me too.

I recall many long trips in a '67 Sprite and a '58 TR-3 with that vintage music.
In particular, a long ride up to Watkins Glen in the TR-3 playing Three Dog Night on an 8-track over and over because we forgot all the other tapes.
The car was positive ground and the player was from a junked Ford (negative ground). It was "insulated" with cardboard and duct tape. Eventually on one long trip to Bridgehampton, it shorted and went up in flames.

I guess it's better to burn out than fade away. :playful:

That synch of Dark Side and Oz is interesting... and who would have even THOUGHT to explore that?!
