Maybe I got lucky, but I had never sold anything on eBay until 2 years ago when I was trying to get rid of some BSA motorcycle parts (fenders, gas tanks, seats) and I didn't have any issues. I did find that it was cheaper to use the eBay Turbo Lister to post listings.
Hardest part was getting odd shaped things like fenders and gas tanks packed well for shipping!
