Here's a fine example of some of the classy cars that show up at our weekly classic car cruise... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Now you see why I complain sometimes... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif Well, maybe we get nicer cars too...

a work in progress is better than none at all in my book /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Actually I think there is a competition of sorts between this guy and another local Studebaker owner... They both own similar vintage Studebaker's, and both are rather multi-colour, and as both of them own nicer classic cars these are their "beater" classics

I'd bet the Stude was originally red...no, blue...no, green....wait...

Actually it looks like something I'd drive...don't tell the other Studebaker guys!

In our area a young women drives a newer Volkswagen Golf with each panel purpously pinted a different color. Her license plate is PROZAK

The guy who owns that Studebaker almost takes special delight in the shape it's in, and I somehow doubt it will ever get restored or re-painted... His good car? An early Studebaker Hawk...

Now, THAT'S what I'm talkin' 'bout!

What a lovely beast! One of my all-time faves...

There's a gent not far from me that has a beautiful '57 Golden Hawk that he bought new. What a stunning automobile. Raymond Loewy styling, if my memory is correct.

That's the beast Steve. The one here looks every bit as good. The next time I see him, I'll find out how many miles he has on it now.
Thanks for the pix.

Do the guys have fun with these cars? Isn't that the point? I'd rather see the owner flogging his multi-colored old AMC or Stude or whatever to one of these meets than a lineup of professionally maintained exotics kept by someone who "collects" them and never uses them.

That would most likely be a 1996 VW Golf Harlequin. Yep, they came that way from the factory. If memory serves, it had something to do with a joint promotion with 'Benneton' the European clothes manufacturing magnate that like to go Formula One racing.

I think that the Studebaker ('60's model) was
painted that way for "conflilcting eye witness" accounts.
Onre witness will swear that the car was Red,while another
swears that the car was Blue!
