Got up early this morning and drove my 6 to the local bagel store. As I was getting into my car a lady about my age passes my car and offers her compliments on my TR6; but then she goes one step further with this question:
<span style="font-style: italic">"Does it float?"</span>
While I'm trying to comprehend what she just asked me she says that on her honeymoon she got a ride in the same car and <span style="font-style: italic">"it drove into the lake and back out"</span>.
I then realized she thought I had an Amphicar... my laugh for the day.
 
I bet you still have a grin on your face.
 
That's a new one. Usually it's "Nice MG."
Thinking about it I guess there is a very (Stress very) mild resemblance between the Amphicar and a TR6. Especially if you took off the bumpers.

I also believe that the Amphicar had a Triumph engine so she was close!

Then the experiment was REALLY worth it. :cooler:
 
At night,if you far enough away,our TR6
looks JUST like a Ferrari.
